Encodes AtTPK4, a member of the Arabidopsis thaliana K+ channel family of AtTPK/KCO proteins. AtTPK4 is targeted to the plasma membrane. In contrast other members of the AtTPK proteins are located in tonoplast. AtTPK4 forms a voltage-independent K+ channel that is blocked by extracellular calcium ions. May form homomeric ion channels in vivo.
