Conditions susceptibility to the fungus Cochliobolus victoriae and victorin-dependent induction of defense-associated proteins. Saturation mutagenesis identified 59 lov mutations that all display reduced susceptibility to vitorin. Mutations in known defense response pathways do not prevent susceptibility to C. victoriae.
